Animal health, livestock marketing constraints, and intraethnic disputes have all worsened in the Kenyan-Ethiopian border region over time. As a result, CIFA Kenya, which was founded in 2000, helped launch cross-border projects in 2004 and 2005. Through these efforts, CIFA was recognized by Ethiopian authorities and communities.
